Haikyuu!! – Episode 12: The Neko-Karasu Reunion

Nekoma and Karasuno finally meet each other and it turns out the teams have quite a bit in common. Both teams seem to have different versions of the same personalities but the styles of the two teams aren't really the same. Even though Karasuno gets out to a quick start, Nekoma counterattacks with their own style of analysis, persistence and teamwork. Unable to overcome Nekoma with their usual tactics, Ukai sets up a strategy for Hinata to start to grow within the game. 670

Brynhildr in the Darkness

If I had to think of one word to describe  Brynhildr in the Darkness it would be: tragic. Brynhildr in the Darkness is based on an ongoing manga of the same name. The anime was produced by the studio Arms Corporation (Elfen Lied, the Ikkitousen series) and directed by Kenichi Imaizumi. The show fits itself into the sci-fi, harem and horror genres; which is quite a combination. Even though it's only 12 episodes long and based on an unfinished property it still did a really good job of pulling me in. 680

Haikyuu!! – Episode 10: Yearning

This episode pretty much puts a bow on what I would call the "team building" arc of the story. We now have the specialty players aligned on the team, giving Karasuno a total of 12 members. As Ukai looks on, the team finishes out their practice match. 631

Haikyuu!! – Episode 7: Versus the Great King

The practice match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai (or Aobajousai) has reached the 3rd and deciding game. However, there's been a change. Aoba Johsai's team captain, Oikawa, has appeared. On top of that Kageyama seems very wary of his talents. He's an older student who went to middle school with Kageyama. He's also the one that Kageyama imitated when he was learning to serve and block. Because of this, Hinata starts referring to him as the "Great King". 3537

The Big Bang Theory Season 7

Another stellar season of the Big Bang Theory has come and gone. The season saw a big change happen for the gang that's long been awaited. In case you missed it or forgot or something in between here's the episode by episode breakdown of what happened this season. The Hofstader Insufficiency. (B+) Leonard is still away working on an experiment. Sheldon and Penny bond over missing him. Sheldon actually opens up to Penny and lets him know that she hurt his feelings during a conversation. Penny and Sheldon times are always fun, and it was a good way to start off the season.Amy and Bernadette are away at a science convention and get into a disagreement after two men buy them drinks. Bernadette insults Amy when she says something disparaging about Sheldon. The two get over it when they realize that they're attracted to two strangers who resemble Sheldon and Howard.Raj is using his new found ability to talk to women when he attends a college mixer and has a moment with the recently divorced Mrs. Davis (who previously had to reprimand him for sexual harassment violations). Even though he has this moment, he's not going to do anything about it. The Deception Verification. (A) Leonard returns home early but doesn't tell Sheldon. Instead he tries to steal some alone time with Penny. When Sheldon finds out he gets mad at Leonard. Meanwhile, Howard accidentally gives himself a heavy dose of estrogen by applying his mom's ointment without using gloves. In an overly emotional

Mad Men: Time Zones – Season 7 Episode 1

Mad Men is back! AMC's series that revolves around Don Draper and his colleagues at a 1960's-1970's advertising firm. Despite coming in to it's 7th season, it's amazing to me that this popular drama has remained so consistent through out its run. That's not to say that the show hasn't had ups and downs over the years, especially when it comes to the story lines, but the production and performances from all the characters almost never cease to meet expectations. As the lead in reminds us things are in kind of a weird place after the last season. Don has been forced to take a leave of absence, Peggy has had a failed in-office romance with a married man, and things are kind of up in the air with several other characters personal and professional lives (but what else is new). Roger is trying to mend the broken relationship with his daughter. Pete's wife has been kicked out of his house and he's decided to move out to firm's branch in California to escape. Then there's Joan, who's started to do account work, despite that not being her position. As usual, there's other things going on but, the lead-ins usually only show us what's relevant to the current episode. The actual episode opens with Peggy hearing a compelling read through, from Freddy, of an advertisement for watches. This immediately reminds us of one of the best things about the show: the advertisements. Some of the best monologues and performances of the series
