Winners and losers for Comicbooks / Super Shows in Spring 2017

During the spring 2017 season, I put a moratorium on doing episode-by-episode write-ups on the TV shows I was following. I felt like there were starting to get to be too many shows and that too many of the ones I was doing write-ups on had become comic book based. Obviously, I love that genre, but I wanted to take a step back and remember what it was like watching those shows normally. I also figured that there's more than enough people doing up to the minute coverage of this whole genre. So, I sat back and watched, and here were my takeaways from the season. 7591

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Time Masters

We gave up on doing episode-by-episode write-ups of this show after episode 7. Honestly, it was unclear if this show was going to get it's act together and stop just fumbling through a bunch of overly convenient set-ups, let alone get another season. Even so, here's some thoughts on the back half of season 1. This covers episodes 13-16: 13: Leviathan 14: River of Time 15: Destiny 16: Legendary 7100

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Pilgrim

In the next set of episodes, the Legends have to start making decisions about what they want to be. Will they be heroes, saviors, assassins, or just people who seem incapable of not messing up history. This write-up cover episodes 10-12: 10: Progeny 11: The Magnificent Eight 12: Last Refuge 7108

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The 1950’s and Chronos (episodes 8-9)

We gave up on doing episode-by-episode write-ups of this show after episode 7. Honestly, it was unclear if this show was going to get it's act together and stop just fumbling through a bunch of overly convenient set-ups, let alone get another season. Even so, we'll at least finish out season 1 by doing some write-ups that cover multiple episodes. 7097
